    Pure zany, brilliant comedy.

Wonderful performances by "Big Maude" (Reta Shaw), Naomi (Jean Carson), and Sally (Jane Dulo). The 5 main actors made comic history in the cabin with one classic line after another. This one always was a family favorite to view and reminisce about. The dance scene with Barney & "Big Maude" is one for the ages. Reta Shaw will return as Barney's hysterical voice coach. Very funny epilougue again. I can't imagine anyone having one negative comment about this stellar episode.

    Favorite episode

By a mile this is my favorite episode of the series. Barney and Floyd are held hostage by three female convicts . Barney and Floyd make a good comedy team in this one. The three women add to the humor as well.

Without going into it too much the episode requires the full comedic talent of Don Knotts and he delivers big time!

My favorite episode of my favorite series.

Floyd was wonderful here, as well as was Jane Dulo and Jean Carson. But the real magic of this show was the incredible chemistry between Barney and the very gifted and underrated Reta Shaw, who was finally given a roll that really revealed what she was capable of. She and Barney had other shows together, but none compared to this awesome one.

Another interesting thing about this episode is that Andy was not a major character. He was seen at the beginning, and then not again until halfway through, and then again at the end.

10/10 Don Knotts and Howard McNear are amazing

One thing I never understood was why weren't more episodes written showcasing these two comedic geniuses?

These two together produced the best episodes with the biggest laughs. Underutilized by the show's producers.

Adding the women convicts made this an all-time television episode, not just for TAGS but television in general. Classic comedy.

The dance scene is oure comedy gold!

A MUST see for anyone who has watched this series. This is generally the first episode I show kids who have never watched TAGS because it really hooks them on the show.

So many hilarious bits in this episode. Calling Barney "Al" was just too funny.

    10/10 episode. No flaws.

    The Best One Ever!

Love this episode, it makes me laugh the entire 30 minutes! It goes to show you that comedy written 60 some years ago is still truly funny today. Plus the extra bonus is one of the "fun girls" is in this episode.

This was Howard McNear's last appearance before a stroke left him partially paralyzed. He returned after nearly eighteen months and made almost five dozen more appearances, almost always seen seated in a chair, or standing with the aid of a special support made for him.
    • Goofs
The signs in the market window change from the time Floyd leaves the store to the very next sequence when Andy and Mr. O'Malley meet. There are also outside shoppers that weren't there before.
